The effects for work and entrepreneurship of the Positivist Self-Sufficiency dynamic. Alternative proposals

This paper proposes exploring from a psychoanalytical perspective the way in which political, economic and social circumstances are giving rise to certain ideological trends in organisations, in management and in the conception of work.

Positive psychology and its transformation into a social movement serves as a paradigm to explain how its practices may be used as defence mechanisms for approaching work and the difficulties that it poses in organisations. Its growing presence in managerial education programmes and its dissemination in the media alter the conception of organisational functioning and that of the roles of management and leadership.
