Improvement of efficiency and interdependence in work interactions between functional units of an advanced research institution

Given the exponential growth of the institution in a short space of time, the organisational area in question presented a series of symptoms typical of a process of this nature: sensation of significant workloads, mutual lack of knowledge between units and their respective tasks, the need to clarify circuits and processes, a loss of sight of the overall picture, clashes between old and new members, etc.

Innova proposed a two-day activity in which representatives of the various members of the area carried out a joint review of their work interactions through the Systemic Contributions Methodology. The action contributed to clarifying the mutual needs and contributions of the various units, to highlighting and raising the profile of some support units, to initiating improvements in core work circuits and to establishing a reference framework for the future follow-up of this process.
