Given the restrictions in the sector that were expected to affect the centre, its managers were keen to implement a new work system that enabled the incorporation of the various professionals (doctors, nurses and administrative staff) in the management tasks that affected the processes in which they directly participated. Their incorporation in the management was considered both an improvement in the quality of service for the centre’s users and a condition for the future viability of the centre itself.

Innova developed an Improvement plan over approximately half a year, enabling new organisational conditions to be created in order for the various improvement activities to be integrated in the habitual functioning of the centre and, at the same time, in order to facilitate the development of a work culture in which quality becomes part of each professional’s day-to-day activity and creative alternatives are stimulated to tackle future restrictions.
